The system consists of a control panel and smoke, heat and/or flame detectors and manual fire alarm boxes. Choice of optimum detector types is made depending upon the area to be monitored.Intrinsically Safe Explosion-Proof/Flame-Proof Fire Alarm SystemsThe system is used for monitoring the hazardous areas such as car deck, cargo pump room and paint stores. Samples of air are continually drawn from each cargo hold by a fan and led into the smoke detection panel where the attendant can check for presence of smoke through the indication windows on the panel. In case of fire, the lamp corresponding to the area in fire lights up. For extinguishing the fire, carbon dioxide is discharged into the zone by opening the 3-way valve.
