Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing SystemThe carbon dioxide extinguishing system is a fixed system to extinguish fire by smothering action with CO2. It is a most effective system for protection of such areas as engine room, pump room, paint store and cargo holds. The smoke sampling type fire detection system used with the carbon dioxide extinguishing system continually draws air from each cargo hold and checks for the presence of smoke by means of the smoke detection panel, which initiates an alarm on detection of smoke. The smoke sampling type fire detection system is designed to have a wide range of monitoring areas extending up to 30 zones.
